It would, of course, be no surprise if it is true the board have won. The requisitioners simply do not have enough support from the shareholders. Had they got the likes of McColl and King to purchase shares recently whilst they are at their current low price then things may have been very different. Had they got, say, 10 to 15 per cent each then that would have changed things significantly. However they weren't and we are where we are.

Frankly we need to move on. Next year will be another big year. The UTT sits early next year and hopefully we'll find out the background to this.

Sorry mate but you've completely ignored umpteen responses last night as to why they couldn't (McColl)\wouldn't (King). It's just a bit annoying with the same conversations constantly and people ignoring valid responses.

Responding to the latest developments, Paul Murray said: "We are surprised to see information of this nature leaked to the BBC.

"This information could only have come from one of two sources - Capita or the Rangers board. We regard this as a serious breach of Stock Market regulations and we intend having our legal team look at the matter on Wednesday morning.

"In the meantime we would urge all Rangers shareholders and fans to ignore this propaganda, turn up on Thursday, cast their votes and ask the questions they want their board to answer."

This might be way off the mark, but what if you were trying to create a feeling of apathy among the voters, i.e. shareholder fans, by 'spinning' the impression that there was no point in turning up as it is a done deal?

On another note - that BBC link is annoying me no end. Look at Easdale (or is it Harry Enfield?). What 'diehard' bluenose goes to Ibrox in a red scarf? Apart from the fact he is 'eyeing' the fans with such a disdainful snidey look on his face. Do you think it's a 'Sack The Board' scarf?
