Ok gunslinger we raise the cash to buy your 10 quality players. If our

finance structure can't sustain the increase in wages that will entail what next? Oh aye raise more cash.easy peasy..

ok so we don't and we languish in the shadow of celtc.

we are scotlands premier club and it's up to our board to restore us to the top or gtf out and let someone else do it.

we don't need a board that can break even(though that would be a drastic improvement) we need a board who can restore us to the top.

We need a board that can build on success

I personally think if we win the Championship next season then qualify for the Europa League the next thats a success our current side is good enough to do that. To think we should be winning the SPFL on our return is delusional it'd cost millions, millions we don't have

Are we though? If we can't beat them living within our means and running prudently then we can no longer call ourselves Scotlands biggest or Premier club.

How do you suggest we raise funds? From where? What exactly is it you want mate? King to throw another £20m at us?

I posted last week we must copy alot of what Celtic do to compete with them but we are at a huge disadvantage due to their huge revenue potential over ours. Their huge stadium, European football, their Nike deal, their player sales.......we don't have any of that so how can we realistically compete?

We can qualify next season if we win next seasons Scottish Cup i think and be in Europe in our first season back in the SPL. We need that.

cetlc got where they are with a sugar daddy director and 3 share issues and a vvery competent board.

we must indeed follow that model. it was a roaring success for them. the fans can pay the wages no problem but we can't do everything.

your standards may not be universal.

your standards may not be universal.

It's not really standards it's building upon success. If we get into the Europa League proper make a bit of money then invest that back in the team its a real recipe for achievement and the team would gradually be able to challenge Celtic

How many times have we spent millions trying to get into the Champions League and not achieved it. It's a big reason for the situation we ended up in

The thingis cdynamo, Rangers fans will not accept slow building, Rangers fans will not accept playing second fiddle to Celtic for more than one year and we are also in an unprecedented era where they will be going for 5IAR and could put us out of sight if we aren't already.

Gunslinger is spot on that we need huge investment in the team but the problem is how we do it. We will need at least 10 players of European class ability. Men who can play. We only have 1 maybe 2 players who will be of any use to us in 18 months time. The squad needs streamlined fast and our future developed now. We need to be saving every penny we can now. The wages we are paying the dross needs saved not paid out.

All those fans who don't go to games, we need back, all those fans unwilling to financially support the club because of the board, we need back and all those fans unwilling to buy merchandise because of the board and deal with Sports Direct we need back. We need to maximise every revenue stream available.

Our board will have to work as hard as Ally and the coaching staff to get us ready. There is so much work to be done. I think it's going to be a shambles, we will not be ready and we will be in meltdown again on our return to the top tier.

What have we done to expand our business since we became a newco? We have posted a £7m half year loss followed by a £14m annual loss, accepted a third rate shirt manufacturer, accepted a third world shirt sponsor and signed a retail deal with Sports Direct where we only get 51% of the profit. This board are clearly not upto it.
