I think this will turn out to be Easdale's - or indeed the Board's - Rubicon.

I would hope that - no matter about divisions - our fans can be united in their condemnation of Easdale attacking one of our own.

So as not to forget, there is an issue of Easdale using data to which he was not legally entitled.

By the looks of it, Easdale decided that enough is enough. Much like HMRC used us as an opportune EBT "victim", Easdale took on one of his prime critics, who left himself open to legal proceedings. It is a signal not just to Rangers supporters.

People may throw in various things including freedom of speech and the like, yet, if what Houston did is unlawful Easdale is within his (or any of us') rights to sue him for it, much like you or I can sue anyone screaming "hun-bastard" into your face. That for many Sandy Easdale is a persona non grata does not change this in any way.

If Easdale's actions against Houston, i.e. using illegal data, is unlawful too, Houston can just as "easily" sue him for that, even though that would be something seperate.

I'm not siding with anyone here, but we should not forget that things are simply not just black & white.

Twenty years ago I worked in a factory and found out the safety officer, at a safety meeting had said derogatory things about me. My manager was present at this meeting and I felt these comments unchallenged would affect my chances of promotion. One simple letter from my lawyer and the safety officer was at the next meeting retracting what he said and indeed praising me, six months later I got my promotion.

This site was pulled up and reacted in the same way as the safety officer, surely Craig could have did the same.

On the SOS page the Easdales have been called ****s, drug dealers, money launderers etc, from what I gather the moderation hasn't improved much.

Perhaps Houston can't be held responsible but surely anyone can understand them not being happy with that sort of stuff flying about?

But it's still ok because he is "a big boy" right?

You know what stb, some of your posts are laughable especially when it came to sticking up for Chuck. But your first two efforts in this thread infact aren't laughable, they are a fucking disgrace.

I don't think you are a Bear.

Two sides to a coin.

And how is he going to sue the 7400 Yahoos who have a go now they know he can't take it at the next of game. If this wasn't so disgusting it would be a total brass neck for Easdale.

This site WAS pulled up and chose to stop the comments, Craig could just as easily have chose to stop the comments on his site.
