Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Nonsense. What happened to free choice? What if you don't agree with any party? Not that it actually matters, elections are just a game to convince people they live in a democracy and have a say. The agenda carries through regardless of voting. In fairness Gribz, you believe in the illuminati.

barca72 440
And do you think ticking a box every few years makes a difference? Well it does allow you to change one master for another master.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
And do you think ticking a box every few years makes a difference? Well it is at least something that exists.
Gribz 743
Well it is at least something that exists. It doesn't actually, because whatever you tick is irrelevant. Regardless who is 'in power' (although none of them ever are, they cant even form a government until they go have tea with the queen) the agenda is the same. But are you telling me The Round Table doesn't exist? - Trilateral Commission / Council on Foreign Relations / Bilderburg Group to name a few! You need to do a bit of research mate. buster. 4,808
Are you referring to the World Communism Bilderberg Group or the World Capitalism Bilderberg Group? The Post Demcartic Age - Ever bigger and more powerful corporartions, including the IT giants - Lobbying culture that pulls the political strings for what they deem important. - Spin culture: General acceptance of the importance in the skill to mislead and bullsh*t. - Ever larger media groups who help control the mainstream information flow. - Right/Left: No real ideology and No longer any real material difference. - Distribution of Wealth: Regressing to bigger divides - Education: Generally getting worse at 'ordinary punter' level. etc., etc................ Funnily enough, Bilderberg meeting usually include those at the sharp end of all the above.
chilledbear 16
Democracy in the UK is simple, since I first voted back in the sixties. Tories get in and cut spending, but they do it too much. Labour get in and spend, but they do it too much. Chicken and egg.

buster. 4,808
Tories / Labour = mask same face. Delude the public there is a difference.....come on folks Bottomline is that there are increasingly more of the electorate without an option that reflects what they think/need. The established parties have the real power behind them and if a threat to what is their status quo comes along then the new face has to jump very high to get over the hurdles. eg. look at the co-ordinated barage directed towards Farage/UKIP in the last week or two with the dreaded '-ism's' featuring prominently. As I said previously, we live in a post-democratic age.
