What is this now? Is anything they say to be taken as sacro-sanct?

More certainly not.

Hence they tell lies when changing their opinion? Are we baclk to black and white? Imagine you tell your wife and friends that you want to buy that new car next month and you decide otherwise? Does that give them the right to call you a liar from now till the end of eternity?

Generally if you renege on a statement of fact of such crucial importance in a business environment, you have told a lie. You have a strange way of looking at things.

A bit of reason should remain, even if they reneged on things stated previously.

Why? What have they done to deserve this?

Hang about dB, you asked what had the board done to anger people, someone tells you and you say 'ah but' and make some spurious comparison with your husband buying a car.

If the club's directors want the support to trust them then they really need to start sticking by their statements. Saying one thing and doing another tends to make people wary.

The point is that there sure should be reason enough amongst people to see that statements - especially in business matters - can change on a daily basis. Somesuch happens all over the place on a daily basis. Yet, when it comes to board matters, their every word is being put on a pair of gold scales and any slight blip decried as a lie. No ifs and buts and maybes. I'm not asking to trust these people (sic!), but not to look at those matters solely with tainted glasses. Especially if that taint primarily comes from boards before the current one, or indeed Whyte.

@ craig ... if you were as much in the know about all that is going on as it seem, you would have swallowed that Whyte remark. As we all know, Whyte was on a different criminal and activity altogether, hardly comparable to those who lead the club right now. I'd leave such cheap shots to those who enjoy in such antics.

Are your wife and friends CEO's of Public Limited Companies trading on a registered Stock Exchange?

I'm sure you'll see soon enough the relevance of public statements from Directors of PLC's.

Reason remains but not all of us suffer from blind faith in whoever happens to inhabit the Ibrox boardroom at the time.
