btw this is quite a change from normal. in the past i have been given an extra two months to get my same seat and several phone calls to confirm that.

are they doing this out of spite? or is it a hollow threat?

I don't think it's a hollow threat but it is up to you and those who take your position to judge that for themselves.

But it is the right thing to do from a commercial point of view and that is something you have been arguing for is it not?

The board could easily have gone down the conciliatory route, by guaranteeing peoples seats once this debacle has reached its logical conclusion. Sadly, yet again, they have chosen the passive/aggressive tactic, quite oblivious to the fact it will only be used against them, and cause a further rift between boardroom and support.

For all the cash that we piss away on media/public relations advisors, time after time they make a right arse of it. Whether this is out of contempt for its customers, or a desperation to get cash in quickly, it's only serving to annoy people even more. Anyone who is committed to the King initiative, will surely not be swayed by the threat of losing their seat, as much as it may mean to them.

It's yet again another own goal from these incompetents, in a string of never-ending public relations disasters. Running any business on the back of emotional blackmail is doomed to end in failure. A level of understanding on why people are holding back, would have earned them some much needed brownie points, but once again, they prove how disconnected they are from the ordinary fan.

I disagree....

What was the ST renewal process last year.....and the year before that.....and all the years before that??? I would hazard a guess that they issue a deadline for you to renew with your current seat, after that deadline, they can't guarantee your existing seat as its then open for folk to move seats. Then its open to the general public to buy.

That is the process - why should it be changed to accommodate DK's pie-in-the-sky scheme???

Well they have either changed there policy of happily giving extensions or it is a hollow threat.

A/ We can ill-afford to alienate, and possibly lose paying customers.

B/ It would show a level of understanding about how dire the situation is, and not a "normal" season.

C/ It would give the UOF one less thing in their favour.

D/ It's just morally the correct thing to do.

How about you give us a few reasons why it's a good thing for the board to do. Saying "that's how it's always been", just doesn't cut it anymore. There's zero net benefit to the club, or the company by being so blatantly obstinate.

The board should be embracing the UoF scheme.

They have no plans to use the stadium as collateral or to sell it. Fans are deserting in droves and the UoF are trying to get people to buy season books.

A sensible board would be saying look. Buy a season book and we will give you ibrox. Secure the home of Rangers.

People would flock to the scheme if they knew it would work.

Ticket sales would be huge. V

Not a chance directors would hand over such an asset to a third party. Dream on............

They've a legal responsibility to protect company's assets

They already have handed over assets though haven't they so it's not a principle they're averse to is it?

They used relatively minor assets to secure some funds....not the clubs 2 main & highest valued assets!!!
