From each top sold up to £8 will be put towards the purchase of shares. It has been a positive start and over 400 strips have been sold in the first week. We have received a mainly positive response to this from our members. As a result the RST board has decided that the money raised will be used solely for the upcoming share issue as outlined in the board's 120 day review. As an existing shareholder we will be seeking to participate in any future share issuehttp://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1s1r063 Does this mean that an unofficial shirt is contributing more money to Rangers - per shirt sold - than the official one? "The RST board has decided that the money raised will be used solely for the upcoming share issue as outlined in the board's 120 day review." Recently i read Celtic made between £2.5m and £3.5m profit from merchandising, they sell around a quarter of a million jerseys a year, are we to believe they sell so much more other merchandise to make up that huge profit? Shirts are normally a clubs best seller, no? Shirts used to be a big seller for us but I'm not sure how we rank these days. In the Glasgow area ten years ago Rangers and Celtic strips were a common sight. The club benefits financially when there is a new share issue. The fans benefit because they get a unique and reasonably priced shirt to register their protest.
