The poll has now been open for two weeks and there have no new votes added for a few days now.

I propose to leave it open for another week, to catch anyone who has been a way for a fortnight, then declare the result and move ahead to decide venue etc.

If anyone thinks it should be left open longer please post here.

Fair warning the poll will close at 6.00pm on Sunday; I know that the result is as eagerly awaited as the WC Final.

For anyone who is remotely interested in attending the dinner; the result is very close so your vote will definitely count.

The moment you've all been waiting for - the official declaration of the official result of the official poll for the The Second Semi Annual Gersnet Dinner.

:drum:

In a low poll, albeit more votes were cast than in the first round at the end of May:

84.7% of the votes were cast for 27/09/2014 v Hibernian and Christmas/New Year put together.

Only two other options received one vote each: 15/11/2014 v Alloa and End of Season

None of the other options received any support.

In second place with 5 votes (38.5%) was Christmas/New Year

but the winner by a short head 6 votes (46.2%) was 27/09/2014 v Hibernian. (Sorry rbr :sigh:)

I think there is an obvious answer here, we have the second dinner on 27 September or the Sunday if the game is moved; and take up GS' suggestion of Crimbo drinks (which he or someone else can organise, thank you very much).

I'll put up a new poll for venue.
