The reason we can't all get along is because we care deeply about the one thing that is our reason for being here: Rangers.

 

One man sees a course of action which he believes to be beneficial and good while another sees it as a blind alley and waste of energy.

 

Because we care, we disagree, which - very regrettably - means that the level of hatred which exists between certain fans - and hatred is the right word if we are being truthful - is as high as the enmity that exists between ourselves and rival supporters.

 

People believe that others don't care as much as they do, and they feel aggrieved when fellow fans call things out as they really are rather than living the delusion that we're the greatest fans in the world, and other such nonsense.

 

This isn't particularly unusual - there are enmities in various organisations where people all care about the one thing - but the level of dysfunctionality within the Rangers family is far too high, and this has come close to paralysing us at a time of crisis.

 

If we can rise above it and learn to co-operate where there is common ground, we'll stand a chance of making progress, but if we can't, we will deserve all that is coming to us.

 

A well crafted post but this subject can't be addressed without taking into account the deliberate, longterm, malicious and successful attempts by many of those who have sat upstairs at Ibrox to sow (SDM) and nuture (from first harvest onwards to present day) confusion and divisions amongst the support/groups via paid spin doctors and specific strategies.

 

Tbf it would need a book to cover it fully, rather than a post.

Folks, I'm bumping Frankie's 'polite reminder' thread here because both of us have had a lot more work to do on the forum recently in terms of dealing with complaints, cleaning up threads, closing threads and generally excessive amounts of moderation due to petty arguments, bickering and infantile nonsense.

 

We need you all to help us out because Gersnet has almost always been a place with a high standard of debate/discussion and relatively low volume of trouble.

 

Other than the occasional exception where we get the odd interloper, mischief maker or poster who flaunts the rules and/or spirit of the forum and ignores warnings, this forum has pretty much been a sensible, self-moderating and relatively chilled place to talk about Rangers and issues related to our Club.

 

We don't care who's causing trouble or making infantile posts, we'll remove them because we won't allow the petty divisive nonsense to continue. That's why we've had a long-running policy of asking forum members here not to bad mouth other Gers sites or bad mouth particular fan groups.

 

So, please either stick to our rules and post sensibly and respectably or you will be warned and/or end up having your posting privileges removed.
