Although you've got a point Struth's intentions were no doubt for the benefit of Rangers. Back then ****s weren't on the radar especially when football clubs didn't have the commercial appeal they have today.

Struth's intentions were to give the large shareholders, of which he was number one, more say in how the club was run. The goal may or may not have been genuine, but the manner in which it was carried out was disgraceful.

I tried looking for the article from @RangersFacts which gives a decent account of Struth's part in it. Would be handy right now.

Only found this which @Rangers Facts penned for the RST: http://www.therst.co.uk/the-right-honourable-members-of-the-rangers-football-club/

Cheers, I will have a read of it later. Love the historic stuff.

To get fan ownership though, even though it takes time, it is better for fans to link arms and go in together. I think you are right not to invest a serious sum of money, but you could have a community share with the RST for around £130, and that's it. You are in and no more payments need be made.

The day may or may not come when you can put in significantly more, but being part of a movement intent on making Rangers a fan-owned club is surely a worthwhile experience.

What a crock of shit. Far better for FO ownership that FS makes a 5 figure investment in shares rather than spending £125 to be part of a community.

This is the kind of misconcepion we are up against in convincing the wider support FO is a viable option for our club.

He thinks that the share price has to rise in order for people to make money. That should rule him out as someone whose opinion should be given the time of day.
