"JACKIE McNAMARA is desperate for cash row to end...."

think it's a good thing it's going to an official ruling as that forces them to clarify this issue , hopefully, once and for all..

If they agree with Dundee United, all hell will break loose.

This should have been resolved quickly. No good is served by dragging this out.

A game is being played here Rangers are asking for a higher fee so Dundee United have countered that by offering less. The likely outcome is Rangers will receive that statutory compensation, 5K per year up to U15's, and 10k per year there after, so the fee will be around 60k.

United hold all the aces since he was out of contract when they made him an offer, Rangers apparently forgot it was running out and only made an offer after he had received one from Dundee United.

Rangers fans better get used to it, at least two youth players we would rather keep will leave in the summer unless there is a big change of mind, they have declined extensions.

To further highlight our failings Falkirk could take up to £4 million on add on fees for the sale of Murray Wallace, Jay Fulton, Conor McGrandles and Stephen Kingsley, a couple of the clauses have already kicked in this season. Sinclair released THREE of them !!! Only Kingsley wasn't a youth player at Rangers.

The following players all released by Sinclair were in SPL Premiership squads at the weekend;- Chris Johnston & Mark O'Hara (Kilmarnock), Sean Kelly, Kenny McLean, Thomas Reilly, Mark Williams, Jack Baird & Lewis Morgan (all St.Mirren), Gary Fraser (Partick Thistle), Blair Spittal (Dundee United), Blair Currie (Hamilton Accies) and the team setting the pace in our league included Robbie Buchanan.

Of that list only Blair Currie was deemed worthy of a pro contract by Sinclair, and people wonder why a number of our youth players want to leave. At a time when our expenditure is unsustainable he is reputed to be in the top 5 earners at the club.

I agree but a behind closed door deal only leaves the same shit to be peddled again and again. an official ruling just kills it, assuming they say we are not a two year old club!!!!

It's bad enough we have the spl/sfa dragging their legal feet over this and having Thompson throwing the 'new club' card into the melt.

We really have to get rid of that bloke Sinclair.

Are you sure these decisions are being made by Sinclair? Maybe he wanted to give some of them contracts but these were denied further up the foodchain.

From the BBC:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30029968

Dundee United have upped their offer to Rangers for Charlie Telfer to £100,000.

The 19-year-old midfielder signed a three-year contract at Tannadice in June after more than 10 years at Ibrox.

A tribunal set up to rule on a compensation fee has been delayed until January due to lawyer availability.

United have already handed over £60,000 plus VAT, while Rangers are thought to be looking for around £200,000 for Telfer, who has made one start for United this season.

The teenager marked that occasion with a goal in a 3-0 win over St Mirren this month, while he made three appearances as a substitute in August.

As much as we need the money and £100k can't be sniffed at, I would rather the club waited for the tribunal so not to be seen as accepting DUFC's view on the matter. The SFA should have thrown this argument out as soon as it arrived on their desk. Their failure to do so does not surprise me at all though.
