Rangers fans chief Drew Roberton has sympathy with club board

The only thing that will recover the lost fans to the required numbers is a team and infrastructure that is capable of winning the SPL.

That will cost 50 million easy and it matters not a jot who invests it.

If Ashley does he will have all the backing he could ever dream of. If not the fans won't return in sufficient numbers.

Same goes for king, mccoll or bill gates.

It's that sort of spending that got us here in the first place.

If somebody is daft enough to invest 50 million quid fair enough but I doubt it. The best way forward is fan ownership but Rangers will be a much diminished club, but an honest club.

Can we afford to wait that long ?

The sentiment is good but will there be anything left ?

It will be interesting to see if Hearts and Motherwell will make a success of fan ownership. Both have required the support of wealthy backers to aid them to their goal. If Dave King or anybody else was prepared to do this for Rangers then I would invest a few quid myself.
