Finnie Signs Gers Deal

Finnie Signs Gers Deal

RANGERS have signed Scotland under-19 defender Ryan Finnie on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Paperwork was completed on the agreement before the close of business last night and that means he can play as a registered player in today’s under-20 fixture at Hibernian.

He could even start the match due to injuries elsewhere as the Light Blues look to move top of the table following Celtic's 1-0 loss to Dunfermline yesterday.

Having only just turned 19 last month, he would be eligible to play as an under-20 player next season and continue his development in Durie's squad.

Finnie arrives at the club having last been at Hamilton Accies, whom he left in January following one appearance for them in 2013/14.

That came last September against Alloa and he also enjoyed a loan period at Dumbarton in the first half of 2012, playing 14 times including 11 starts.

Hardly played last season when we signed him, when he did it was usually as a sub. I was astounded when he was given another year.

Where have we seen that before .............
