There is no need to throw 7 to 15k contracts after them, as the previous boards have. You do need some serious scouting though. For the time being, it is one step after another. If Sarver does indeed come in and King and the 3Bs remain, we should have enough financial muscle to address all problems, some sooner, some later. Anchorman 0 Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 This might be a bit random and in the fantasy realms and I'm prepared to be shot down as a result, but 'bear' with me. The guy wanted into football and he obviously wants the 'publicity' that being successful would bring e.g. Champions League. Even given that I've been struggling to come to terms with that being his sole reason and CL is certainly never certain. He said he has been talking to Davie Robertson about Rangers. Our American friends like a good story, especially a 'hero out of the ashes' story. Whoever is riding the big white charger at our Club when we hit the top again will be seen as a hero and a saviour in that story, which will get worldwide recognition. Another American came, looked at the books and fled. Further down the line, the situation is worse and we suddenly get this guy without a good reason or a viable plan.
