Will be interesting to see the response from King & T3B who will be able to rip this apart and hopefully up the ante for the EGM. It might even help sway some floating voters if they can get this right.

 

In the meantime there should be an absolute boycott of all SD and club shops, with picket lines outside the club shop on matchdays.

The legal question has to be if the RIFC board are acting in the best interests of Rangers or Sports Direct.

No point in boycotting now. That time has now passed. No point in trying to starve them out as their are too many fools going through the gates propping the easdales and Ashley up.

 

Everything hinges on the EGM. It is our one and only hope to get rid of them.

 

If it fails then it will be sports direct united.

I'd imagine that Ashley will now try and woo the 3 Bears so as to to avoid the EGM.

Just offer them 'enough' to make it interesting but retain control.

 

A considerable amount of money would be required by any new executive management team post General Meeting and therein is a large poison pill which might make it easier to accept any Ashley offer.

 

If this were to happen then it's Sports Direct FC and a soulless football club.

I only hope that there are sufficient grounds for challanging the RIFC board re. related party transactions going back to 2012 and if so, that there is a will to go down that path.

What a pity that so much time and energy has been wasted over many years in the amateur financial analysis of what has been going on inside Ibrox. It didn't change anything - the wrong people are still in charge.

 

Fan ownership was put forward over ten years ago but it took far too long to build up a head of steam.. Even now, it's only making headway because people thought that Ibrox could be lost. You have to wonder - why were we never this upset when the entire club - including Ibrox - was in inappropriate ownership?

 

It has become impossible now for thousands of fans to prop up Mike Ashley's Rangers - and who can blame them.? Rangers has been consumed by a corporate empire that has effectively turned the club into SD Rangers.

 

What socially aware discerning 21st century fan in the west of Scotland is going to enthusiastically back Rangers now?

 

The EGM has become a must-win game for the Rangers support. The club will never maximise its potential while it is a glorified branch of Sports Direct.

For far too long, energy and focus has been diverted towards false or inconsequential battles when the real enemy has been within.

 

When you have that cancer borrowing away inside you for more than a decade then it threatens your existence. When the treatment administered is to actually to introduce more virulent forms of a toxic disease then survival in a normal state is unlikely.
