McCulloch and Simonsen in front of SFA today: Both get 2 match bans

Recommended Posts

I was about to say i'd give Lee the benefit of the doubt here, but he doesnt make much of an effort to move his leg. He would have landed a bit awkwardly yes but it could have been avoided.

Remember what happened to Mols when went all out to avoid stamping on a player (Khan).

I don't think Lee would have landed THAT awkwardly, Mols had no choice but to almost do the splits, McCulloch's trailing leg may have still caught the player but he could have tried harder to not step on him IMO. In any case, I wouldnt describe it as a 'stamp'.

EDIT : I watched snippets of that Bayern game a few months back, what a bloody team we had.

The punishments for betting (on other teams) doesn't serve as any type of deterrent and suggests the SFA might aswell scrap the rule.

The punishment for Black betting against his own team was also IMO way too lenient.

Regardless, he should have been sacked on the spot by the club..........a player betting against the team that pays his wages crosses the red line.
