Contract check - as of February 2015

Robinson won't stop shots bell will it'd that simple.

As for Kelly and youth games a shot in the bottom corner at 50mph by messi is no different to one by my mate Paterson down the park.

Totally disagree about Bell. Never up to the standard we'll be looking for in the next few seasons.

And when will he play again?

Robinson certainly hasn't filled me with confidence as yet. Has he made 1 good save in the 3 games he has played? I can't remember one. He was far from steady on Friday night but a bad wind can be a nightmare for a keeper. Certainly not a contract candidate for me from what I have seen.

If Miller and Simonson leave in the summer they'll in all likelihood be the last players born in the 70s to play for us. I guess that means I'll finally have to accept I'll never play for Rangers...

I'd be sorry to see Jim Stewart leave, he's highly regarded as a specialist goalkeeper coach.

When you see that list you realise the scale of the job the next manager has. We're literally looking at signing a whole new team, that's considerably harder than most realise.

GK is about the only position we're half decent in. Ideally, Bell would be No.1, Kelly told to push him and wait for any chance, while Robinson should be told he's emergencies only & if he wants to move on, fair enough. He's a handy enough No.3 keeper but not much more, assuming he's coming cheap.

Really? I think we are weaker there than I have ever known and I first went to Ibrox in 65. I haven't seen Kelly but I am praying he is the real deal as I fear the other two are far from it.

PS I should add that I see most games on telly rather than live and accept this is not a strong position to speak from, but they don't seem to have the necessary stature/presence/all round ability I'd expect from keepers.

We are weak there. By the way I'd say TV is far better for assessing matches than being there. Cameras from all angles, constant replays, everything analysed etc.

Don't get me wrong, unless Kelly is the biz they're all little better than decent, some not even that. But compared to the other three divisions, where we have to assemble virtually from zero, at least for goalies we have something there which could, at a push, see us for a while.
