Kenny McDowall - No quick fix

Recommended Posts

Getting to where hearts are can be done fast.

But its worth noting the foh have 8k members pumping money into the club. We have rf with 12k buying out ****s at present.

We have more money but its going to greenco not rangers.

I will bet good money that we don't have one single contract that wasn't chosen because it gave the biggest kickback to greenco instead of it being best for the club.

We would need to triple our player wage bill. A wage bill we can't afford right now.

It can be done quickly or affordably but not both.

A high wage bill does not equal a good team. We have the 2nd highest wage bill in Scotland, do we have the 2nd best team?

Its more about getting the right players at the right price....

I should pioint out I said 10 years or 100 million.

It will be a combination of both I am sure with fans and shareholders pumping in millions.

With luck we could do it in 3. If we get the right manager and get promotion this season.

5 seems more likely. Though 2 isn't impossible.

Of course but you won't come first spending a quarter of Celtc.

it's not impossible but it's highly highly unlikely. no one has ever done it.

So, all we need to do is have a higher wage bill than Ceptic & we'll be sorted???

What makes a good player??

What makes a good team??

Ability/skill or weekly wage??

We currently have the 2nd highest wage bill in the country, yet where has that got us??? We have a team predominantly made up of Premiership-level players, yet how many Challenge cups have we won??? When it comes down to it we have not really challenged premiership clubs - granted we have beaten a few, but overall we are not a threat to them.

Hearts are currently running away with the Championship title, yet their wage bill will be a fraction of ours....

Throwing money at the problem is not the answer. A properly thought out, planned & implemented structure is what is required......then spend the money achieving the results.

beter to ask what makes a weekly wage. ability skill of course it does.

you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

as for only needing to outspend them to win of course not.

but beating them with a quarter of their wage bill will be incredibly hard and will happen 1 year in 20,
