How will you vote in the General Election?

Recommended Posts

With tomorrow's UK General Election rapidly approaching, we've noticed an increase in political debate on the forum so in the spirit of unreliable internet opinion polls, we've been inspired to give our site followers the chance to share their voting intentions ahead of the big day.

The poll is via the article below with all the six main UK parties represented although not every party has a separate Scottish manifesto (or website) of note. Nevertheless, you can use the party website links in the article to have a read through their polices if, like many people, you're still undecided on how to vote - though we do hope you'll share your most likely option here!

PS: This is only a bit of fun and our website has no recommendations for our members...

Except that the link to the Scottish Labour party website is cunningly called "Scottish Conservative Party website"..... :D

I'll be voting SNP and I don't want an independent Scotland.

I blame the Labour party for abandoning the few socialist principles they had left as far back as the 1980's.

They offer little difference from the Tories and have abused their sinecures in Scotland with right wing policies and allying themselves with a religious sect. Deservedly, they are about to get their arses kicked.

If the SNP are true to their word they will prevent any further drift to the right by Labour and haul back the reactionary extremes of "New Labour".

If their was a revolutionary working class party with a chance of winning, they would get my vote.

The snp are far more right wing than labour. They just hide it well. They say all the right things but do none of them.

which will be why under an SNP government in Scotland we have free University tuition, free prescriptions and why the SNP want rid of the useless obscenity that is Trident whilst Labour support tuition fees, prescription charges and wasting billions on something which even Michael Portillo called a complete waste of money as it is neither independent nor a deterrent?

How do the SNP propose to pay for all those socialist policies RPB ? Genuine question as I haven't been following the manifestos of any party - I am in splendid isolation 3500 miles away :D
