Summer 2015 - Transfers and Rumours Thread

Recommended Posts

Another week, and the old Fettesian and former Sellik supporter, Aidan Smith has another kick at Rangers. Pacific Quay should do the decent thing and give this clown a job.

Haw Aidan, how did Hibs get on yesterday?

Nah ... the big bad Rangers unscrewed their best player's head and thus he did not perform well and the Hibs were undone!!! Well, by Dumbarton ... but ... it's all the big bad Rangers' fault.

I think we registered an interest in Allan in January and made firmer sounds in May. Not ahead of Petrofac ties or whatnot ... though one should add that the transfer window only opened im July. But let's not confuse Aidan with facts ...

Snatched from FF re Aidan ...

Celtic sign a rival teams players = Great for Scottish football, keeps the money in house (even though the manger of the players is an ex-Celtic player and gets a cut of the transfer) papers/hacks applaud Celtic and ask the Pope to make them a saint

Rangers try and sign a rival teams player = The 2nd coming of the anti Christ has arrived

Very poor piece and not just because I'm unsympathetic to the writer's opinion.

He's used a lot of copy to say not very much at all and he even managed to repeat the sentence mocking Warburton's stance that the bids weren't his responsibility, later in the article.
