New management team: Mark Warburton and David Weir

Recommended Posts

So far all I've read is newspaper speculation, is there anything official coming from the club?

If we are looking for a new manager why has McCall not been released from his duties?

Paper talk is simply that - paper talk. I'll believe it all when the club announce their intentions, not when multi media folk clamour for the best story.

Another example of 'gutter press' for the sake of it.

A non-story which will grow arms and legs unless those in charge at Rangers have something to say....

Herald Scotland:

Scotland throw their weight behind Stuart McCall as Rangers leave him hanging on

"STUART McCALL has been given assurances that he has a cast-iron role within the Scotland coaching set-up whether Rangers want him or not."...more if you GAF...

We are cannon fodder for all creepy media guys with a paper to sell...we are cannon fodder as long as silence comes from the board.

If Real Madrid can sack their manager why is it a problem for us? Why are the media in this country allowed to print shite before you can even wipe your arse?

The league hasnt even been over for a week, its the end of the season and we have no games coming up that would require McCall to prepare a team, its hardly keeping him hanging on. He surly must know himself that the chances of him getting the job for next season is very slim to none.

.

Isnt he on a short term contract that just expires at the end of the season anyway, therefore he is released?

Regardless of all the speculation going on it may well be that when all the dust settles down Stuart McCall will be in charge of Rangers for the 2015/16 season in the Championship.

Paper talk likes to kindle fires as long as it sells the product. Some fans of the club will be infuriated, some will take it sensibly and accept McCall should be given a chance to improve our situation with his own players rather than work miracles with a bunch of hasbeens horrifically signed by 'look after yourself' McCoist.

The board are silent because McCall was their pick in the first place and won't be sidetracked by media speculation and don't forget....the fans at the game haven't shown 'disgust' towards McCall in any way.

I expect Stuart to be in charge for next season and all the pish headlines in the papers right now to be more drivvel for more pounds, shillings and pence. They'll move on and so should we.

Stu McCall to remain as Rangers Boss....paper talk....next!

More and more contracts are ending on 31 May as there is no football in June and having the contract end in June was just a way for players to get an extra month's pay while lying on a beach.

It was reported a couple of weeks ago that all our players (and Motherwell and Hibs for that matter) contracts ended on 31 May and that if Falkirk had made the SC final, the 2nd leg of the play offs would need to be put back to June, and therefore these players would need to be re-signed for a week to allow them to play.
