Le Tissier was no one trick pony - that is revisionism.

THAT was actually the point I was making. :flute: For neither is Vuckic ... and the latter has actually quite a development curve ahead of him at the age of 22. If he gets decent enough coaching.

Have you been infected by Gunslinger? amkopfkratz.gif

What is that to do with anything ? A number of us have questioned your use of Le Tissier as a one trick pony - he was far from a one trick pony - so how did you come up with Le Tissier as a one trick pony ?

Le Tissier was a player of the highest quality at the time, despite devoting his playing career to a club which was neither fashionable nor had an abundance of quality team mates.

OK, got ya now. Hopefully you see though that a comparison between Le Tissier and Vuckic is a strange one, for Vuckic could never even hope to emulate the player Le Tissier was.

A) ... we hardly know what heights Haris Vuckic will reach, so let's give that a pass.

B) ... the one-trick pony remark about Vuckic obviously comes from those many "cutting in from the right and shooting with his left foot" scenes. The video actually shows that this were not his only skills. He could do quite a lot more with that left foot of his (and score with his right and head as well). As could LeTissier. So quite an appropriate comparison, as LeTissier is obviously best remembered for his marvellous left foot shots, but those were hardly all his attributes. In fact, methinks the speed of either player is comparable too ...

I am extremely confident that my belief that Vuickic will never emulate what Le Tissier did. So we will indeed let it pass.

I'm not getting into the comparisons between Vuckic and Le Tissier - there is absolutely NO comparison at all.

Mentioning Le Tissier in this topic is just ridiculous and makes no sense at all. Vuckic at 22 - on loan in the second division in Scotland. Le Tissier at 22 - one of the top scorers in the Premiership (then First Division). They are worlds apart in ability and their styles are nothing like each other. Vuckic and Le Tissier have about as much in common as Gus McPherson and Messi.
