The day Rangers signed Gazza and Ibrox got a new hero

What joy it is to be a Bear!

Oh wait - anyone got the number for "self-loathers anonymous"?

I prefer my Rangers heroes to have had a bit of dignity about them. It's hardly surprising that an alky wife-beater does it for a strange wee stalker like you.

Crazy thing is - is that he played more times for us than any other club!

That's one of the reasons why I wasn't impressed with the writer & director Jane Preston's portrayal of his time with us. She was more interested in portraying his time at Rangers as being about sectarianism & IRA threats, than she was about the magical moments and all the amazing goals he scored.

Gascoigne was a genius on the park but I have totally no respect for him as a person.

In the Gascoigne documentary you really get a sense of both sides of his life. One of the sad things is that he actually genuinely thought he could play better while drunk.

Tragically, he's now a completely broken man. An emotional, mental & physical wreck who sounds like he's losing touch with reality.
