Scott Allan hands in transfer request

If true, then that would be a very interesting development.

It's not exactly the coolest of things for a player to do, but it's also completely understandable in certain situations and this is one of them.

It should also mean that Hibs can't hold us to ransom looking for silly money, which is a bonus, but an important one because we've given Hibs an absolute fortune in the past decade, something which their fans conveniently forget when bad mouthing us for our times of overspending.

not forgetting the first £100,000 Scottish transfer fee for Colin Stein.

Just to think we paid 100.000 for Colin Stein way back in 1968. Inflation is not that high in Scottish football.

I loved that guy. He scored a hat-trick on his Rangers debut in a 5-1 league win at Arbroath and then another hat trick a week later against Hibs. Four days after that he scored twice in a 3-0 away Fairs Cup win against Dundalk. Now that's a flying start! And who can forget his header at Easter Road that won us the league?
