Final Championship clash between Hibernian and Rangers moved for TV

Recommended Posts

The final Championship clash of the season between Hibernian and Rangers has been moved for television coverage.

Mark Warburton's men are due to travel to Easter Road on Monday, March 7 for a 7.45pm kick-off as the title race continues in the second tier.

However the SPFL say the game will be pushed back until April 19 or 20 if the sides reach the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Rangers face Kilmarnock in the fifth round this Saturday while Hibs meet city rivals Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday. The semi-finals of the competition are due to take place on April 16 and 17.

Hibernian beat Rangers 2-1 when the teams met on league business in the capital on November 1 but Alan Stubbs' side have lost both Championship matches between the sides at Ibrox.

Mark Warburton's team hold an eight-point lead in the chase for the crown having played one match more than Hibs.

Yet again fans are being inconvenienced to allow for tv coverage an earlier Saturday kick off or Sunday game could have been arranged as weekday nights make it hard for people to finish work and get to game.

Jeezo mack, we cant get fans to go this Saturday lol...
