Kallum Higginbotham slams "attention-seeking" Rangers' full-back James Tavernier

Recommended Posts

Surely he will be able to find a dodgy lawyer that is able to prove that the tweeting of the injury is against his "human rights" in stopping him launching an appeal:roflmao2:

This line about not appealing because of the tweets posted by Tav is ridiculous.

Partick Thistle know fine well any appeal was destined for failure, nor does their manager judge Higginbotham worthy of a start.

ie. Thistle were never going to throw 1,000 sterling into the bin.

He said: “I don’t have Twitter myself but a few of the lads showed me that when I came in on Monday. It’s disappointing because in my eyes it’s attention-seeking and he’s trying to prove that I’ve touched him.

“Maybe if he hadn’t posted that picture we could have tried to have appealed it, but the picture shows that there was contact so it would affect the perception of the challenge.

Well of course he's 'trying to prove' you touched him. You did.

I'm sorry but I fail to be moved my some wee idiot who committed a pretty bad foul (that yes was imo a sending off) when Andy Halliday has had two erroneous sendings off in the last coupe of weeks. None of them resulting in the injury of a player.

I think referees need to understand that it’s men playing football

LOL. Says the wee crybaby.

If that's "just the way he plays", then perhaps he should be banned for life... That's not football, and I wouldn't want to play with anyone who does that kind of stuff all the time as their "style" with absolutely no contrition.

Agreed, which makes his comment even more bizarre considering his recent positions in football management!

With the likes of Butcher I think it is more the deep seated beliefs formed whilst a centre-half in a different era rather than anything sinister. The media will lap anything up that provokes controversy, discussion and revenue.

He does however have a deep dislike for Rangers though!

As Motherwell manager in 2005 and ICT manager in 2011 I thought he particularly enjoyed and celebrated end of season wins against Celtic that were big factors in us winning the titles.
