Gers have been tracking the forward since the start of the season but opted against making a January move. Mark Warburton pushed through deals for Michael O’Halloran and Billy King last month — but will now look again at Stewart. SunSport understands Championship leaders Gers will launch a bid to get him in the next window. The predictable wheels of the Scottish football media keep turning round the 'controversial angles' to stoke up the predictable verbal rammies.
