Hibs 0 v Morton 3 - Rangers remain 8 points clear.

Recommended Posts

We've dropped 12 points in our first 25 league matches.

Hibs now need us to drop a minimum of 9 in the remaining 11...and to win every one of their games.

Hope to see us now relax (in a positive sense) and put in some confident performances during the coming games.

Stubbs: We have already been 8 points behind and clawed it back, we can do it again.:)

What he is failing to acknowledge is :

1. There are far fewer games left now than there were the last time they "clawed" those points back.

2. At that point they could have overtaken us if they had won all their games against us. Now they really need to defeat us in that last game but they also need a fair bit of help from others.... And to win all their remaining games.

I don't mind if we only score 11 goals in our next 11 games with a single goal each game.... So long as we also get a clean sheet each game

Being pedantic we only need to win 7 and draw 1 game although it would not be good for the heart.:)

Big result in the grand scheme of things last night with us now effectively nine points clear.

However, although we have four games at home over the next month, all our matches are against teams vying for the final play-off place so we will need to be at our best in them all - at Ibrox or not!

This is where the manager and Davie Weir will earn their corn to ensure we're sufficiently motivated.
