The Summer Transfer Rumour Round-up Thread

Recommended Posts

Nahki Wells, now at Huddersfield in the Championship (Bermudian) when leaving Bradford to go to Huddersfield forced it into the transfer that his Bermuda Club, Dandy Town Hornets, received their share of his transfer fee. Bermuda is a very small footballing market and that 75,000 GBP was a very big deal to them. Nahki forced it because he recognized that his Bermuda Club were the ones that coached him from such a young age.

Actually a very good character to have pete

Dandy Town Hornets.

That is a damn fine name for a fitba' team. Are they skippered by Desperate Dan, do they dine on a pre-match meal of Cow Pie, and are Melchester Rovers regular opponents? It's a Beano of two dimensions.

Jeez - I wouldn't pay that for a "song"

I can't see us paying that for one player myself however if it were true I'd expect better than Grigg for £3M. Having said that I haven't seen much of him but still seems a bit pricey to me.

lol. Every team here has a "nickname" which finds its way into the actual name. Our Club, for example are North Village Rams.

We have the following names :

Trojans

Blazers

Zebras

Cougars

Colts

Stallions

and a bunch of others. Kind of strange to me too :D
