Next season's first XI and squad

Recommended Posts

anyone convinced any of these are teams that could regularly beat a celtic team strengthened significantly in the summer?

No, especially with Craptic looking like spending a fair few pounds in the summer to strengthen their squad (which is already stronger than ours).

I know I keep saying this and I know that all won't agree but Ferguson, Thomson and Hendami apart, we need a complete new first team. We need pace, we need strength, we need passion, we need skill, we need guile, we need experience - none of the 3 players already sign give us any of that.

I can't believe that our standards have fallen so far that we believe that Scott Fookin McDonald would IMPROVE a Rangers team. McDonald has done his duty of Rangers and he'll never elcipse that :)

We're definitely short of a few players to be confdent of acheiveing that.

But you look at the Celtic starting XI and they have a few weak links.

Not impresses by Telfer. Their CB's are inexperienced big lumps. They have a largely slow ageing CM. The Jap goes hiding in most games and yet is being touted POTY. Hesselink is their only good striker.

I think looking at them, they're not a great side, but they've currently got that winning mentality. Perhaps if we were mounting a stronger challenge we'd see what they are really made of.

I agree mate, when you really look at thier team, they are not that great, yes they are winning the league at a canter but Hesselink and Nakamura aside they dont have many class players.

Just goes to show that with the right manager and tactics and a confident set of players, the team can be more than the sum of its parts.
