[FT] RB Leipzig 4 - 0 Rangers

Recommended Posts

This is not Glasgow Rangers it is Pass it back FC. Pass it back until we are in trouble and then pass it to the opposition. :frown:

HA!, come on Pete, this is a top quality side here, they force the play all the time, they do that in their league as well that's why they are sitting 2nd, we have been slack with the ball too many times but they press and close down very well.

As with most top German sides, Leipzig are superb at pressing in that compact 4-4-2. We've been OK, but need to be more courageous with the ball, with several opportunities to pass the ball forward being abandoned; Halliday and Tavernier in particular take an absolute age to make up their mind what to do with the ball.

There is a huge difference in class of players here, the two players who scored the goals cost 30 million EURO,perspective required.

Okay but what about all the balls that can go direct to McKay instead of being passed back to Wilson first, giving leipzig the chance to press. This is not only about them pressing it is about us passing it back whether they press or not. Miller could have sent Windass through on goal but instead passed it back to Haliday. It is not only in this game either it is in most games. One positive the presenter is a good looking bird that is about it for me.

I don't know why we've went to a a 3-5-2; players look really uncomfortable.

We have been playing a variation of it for about three weeks. I think it's been OK thus far. If we can't try it here where can we try it?
