St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright lines up move to bring Rangers outcast Michael O’Halloran back to McDiarmid Park

ST JOHNSTONE want to re-sign Rangers outcast Michael O’Halloran.

 

Saints boss Tommy Wright revealed today that the club had enquired about the attacker’s availability.

 

O’Halloran was among five senior players absent from Gers’ 30-man Europa League squad submitted to Uefa.

 

The 26-year-old is one of 14 players boss Pedro Caixinha wants to offload this summer.

 

And Wright told STV:*“Michael is one player that we’ve enquired about but in that position there’s two or three other enquiries we’ve got in at the minute.

 

“Michael’s situation is one that’s very much in Rangers’ hands. It’s not in any other club’s hands, it’s up to what Rangers want to do with him.

 

“I was sad to see him go and, as I say, we have spoken to Rangers about him, about the possibility but that’s out with my control. At the minute the ball’s in Rangers’ court.”

 

O’Halloran, Harry Forrester and Rob Kiernan have all been ordered in for early-morning training regimes with their Rangers careers virtually over.

 

And a move back to McDiarmid Park could appeal to the attacker, who still has three years left on his Ibrox deal.
