FF says ...

Deal is 100% happening. Source: one of his very close family members.

Spoke to one of my mates who is a Jambo, goes to all the games home and away and he said he's very good when he plays (not sure if he means when he's in the mood) and he'd like him to stay with Hearts and says he'll be a great signing for us

Sunderland want Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn back at Stadium of Light as Simon Grayson continue squad rebuild

Waghorn was a youth product at the Stadium of Light and he is wanted back at the club to help bolster the front line

Sunderland aim to bring ex-trainee Martyn Waghorn back to the club after Darron Gibson’s shock claims many stars there do not care.

The relegated Black Cats are trying to rebuild on a tight budget under new boss Simon Grayson.

They need more firepower after the loss of Jermain Defoe and are weighing up a bid for Rangers hitman Waghorn.

Waghorn, 27, scored 16 goals for the SPL club last season up north but only has 12 months left on his contract at Rangers.

He remains popular at the Stadium of Light after starting his career there before a £3million transfer to Leicester in 2010.

How much did Defoe got them? Hm ... say 4m for Waggy, how about that for a starting bid? :flute:

EDIT: Just noted that Jermain Defoe went to Bournemouth on a free, probably much to the annoyance of the Black Cats.

We've got a youngster and may be interested in a chap from Wigan ...

Max Power could be allowed to leave Wigan Athletic for a cut-price £500,000 this summer.

The 24-year-old has been frozen out by manager Paul Cook after saying he wanted to play at a higher level following the club's relegation.

Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday and Rangers are all showing an interest in the energetic midfielder who made 45 appearances for Wigan last season.

Cook, who is also willing to listen to offers for striker Omar Bogle, told Power that he would not be considered for selection while the transfer window is open.

Glasgow Rangers have signed Jordan Critchley from Queen's Park on a two-year contract.

The 16-year-old was formerly on Wigan Athletic's books.
