Sky sources understand Rangers have agreed a deal to sign Cardiff City full back Declan John on a season-long loan.

 

The 22 year-old Welshman is expected in Glasgow this evening and should complete his move tomorrow following a medical.

Wondering where this leaves Wallace. Surely Cardiff wouldn't loan him out and surely he wouldn't want to go unless he were going to play.

 

Most players believe they are better than the incumbents. From a Cardiff point of view they won't care if he gets game time so long as they get him off the wage bill.

 

We needed back up and I suspect he will be just that.

 

Though if Frankie is right about where he can play then he may be getting brought in to play LM

I hope he is better than the incumbent and that's no dig at Wallace. You just get the feeling he might be hitting a stage of his career where injuries will continue cropping up that may keep him out for weeks at a time.

Rangers have agreed a deal to sign Cardiff City full-back Declan John on a season-long loan, according to Sky sources.

 

The 22-year-old Welshman is expected in Glasgow on Wednesday evening and should complete his move on Thursday following a medical.

 

John came through the youth system at Cardiff and made 16 appearances last season, but has not featured for the first team this season.
