I was quite happy to go to another pub or sit on the bar for another while but it looked to me everyone was hitting the road. I was surprised when BD said everyone deserted him. As you say there will be a next time. I'm not surprised that everyone deserted the faceless one and I'm not a big drinker; but would certainly have shared another glass of merlot. JFK-1 1,666 Posted May 23, 2017 Share Posted May 23, 2017 Within 10 points of the mhanks and a group qualification would be exceptional I have doubts they're as good as some seem to think they are and nowhere near as good as they themselves think they are. If we can put some steel into the centre of the defence and midfield they and everyone else could find us a much different proposition next season. They had some good performances last season but against poor to mediocre opposition it's hardly impressive. Plus the sheep came within a goal of making the qualifying round last year while they're totally crap and were totally outplayed by us in all games but one that didn't matter. There can be some decent teams in the qualifying round but the bulk of them will be beatable with the right approach and I expect us to be significantly strengthened. Anchorman 0 Posted May 24, 2017 Share Posted May 24, 2017 According to reports this morning Alves has been offered to Galatasaray. I never really bought the story about him 'agreeing' to come to us.
