But when you have someone like BH who is so blatantly anti-King they will use numbers as a means to "prove" King isn't good for us. Hence the "we refused 5 million for McKay in January" and "we only got 500k for him in July". Both figures are distorted and, strangely enough, the refusal to sell is inflated whilst the actual selling figure is deflated. We should sure beat these chaps hands down, but on the day stuff like this happen. Our recent history is littered with similar scorelines against far worse players. It hurts as this is Europe, no debate really, but as I said the longer this goes on, the worse it seems to become for some. No, it isn't. When you are believing what the Sun report you have hit a new low There is, as Frankie says, absolutely NO WAY did we get an offer of 5-6 million for McKay and rejected it. Not a chance. So, immediately, I consider that to be fabricated.
