[FT] Progres Niederkorn 2 - 0 Rangers

Recommended Posts

This has been too slow tonight. Morelos is nowhere near fit enough yet so I expect he will be swapped. Miller keeps drifting inside and we are losing width. He may move more centrally and bring on Dalcio to give us the width on that side. We sorely need it. Rossiter is taking too long to make the forward pass too. If we up the pace, even slightly, we will score.

Became turgid after the first 20 to 25 minutes. Surely the second half will be different. Are they just going to pack the box the entire game? Happy to go out 1-0?

NO. If you read their manager's comments pre match the plan was to defend for 70 minutes then give it a go in the last 20. So from their perspective it's going exactly to plan which is quite a worry.

Poor first half Rangers have most of the possession in our own half with no penetration into their box whatsoever. Any time we've been down the wings Tav punts it almost oot the park on the other side and Wallace crosses it back towards the penalty spot every time, when the only man in the box Morelos is making near post runs, thats if he doesnt hit the first man with it. This is not Rangers class!
