Lawful or unlawful?

Recommended Posts

McLaughlin used the term in his initial article which was then removed for some reason.

At that point I assume they received expert opinion which has been enough for them all to go with that line. The SPFL statement preamble using same will have helped.

I do wonder if anyone will look to challenge this? However, I assume Stewart Robertson (pp Rangers) may have signed off on the statement just to avoid further discussion on the issue.

BBC headquarters lead their position.

There's no coincidence English's own position has changed since he moved from the Scotsman to Pacific Quay.

Sorry, I mean BBC headquarters down South in relation to BBC Scotland, not BBC Scotland in relation to its "journalists".

Sure but given the lack of change in Glasgow, I doubt there's much care given down south either...

So what can we do to alert the BBC that one of their branches is alienating the fans of the biggest club in the country on the third biggest city of the UK, whilst also affecting a large number of fans ourwith Glasgow and some in NI, whilst regularly coming close or crossing the line on legal matters and wit comments made on the BBC's behalf? How can we get a campaign started similar to the Record campaign?

The club and club1872 should take the BBC to the high court and get this ''unlawful ''and ''illegal'' misrepresentation settled once and for all. I'm supremely confident we will win it, eminent QC Joylon Maugham specialising in tax law, versus Mad Irish Journalist, with a Ology in Sport.

The question really should be. Why the desperation to call it illegal. So much so they have to find some compliant advisor to say its ok or worse make one up.

That's easy - the answer is: "hatred".

It might be, but it could also be laziness. These guys have never had to work hard for any story. If there isn't one, they just make one up. We all know there are other stories that should be told, but they'd require some effort and I just don't they're up, to that.

They will flog this one to death because then they don't have to think about what they're writing tomorrow. Maybe one day the bosses at BBC will realise that he can be replaced by an empty chair and no one would notice.
