Bill Leckie: Morelos Is A Diddy

Recommended Posts

I must admit the Dutch commentator was also calling him a diddy or words to that effect. His goals to chances is extremely low and many are 100% chances. He definitely should have scored at least 2 yesterday. That is a lot why we are losing points. We are getting many chances and not taking them. Other teams are getting one chance against us and taking it.

21 years old living on the other side of the world and add the pressures of playing for a big club and he’s played nonstop almost all year. He’s doing quite well Pete. Not the finished article by any stretch but far from a diddy. He does a lot of work outside the box. My biggest criticism of him is his first touch rather than his goal scoring ability. It’s actually quite hard to judge some players when they don’t have quality around them and that is certainly true for strikers.

McCoist used to miss a lot of sitters.
I remember my dad saying this all the time. McCoist missed far more than he scored.

Morelos is young, thousands of miles away from his family and living in a totally different climate. Sure he lived in Finland for a bit and was a success there but he must miss his family a lot.

He's a terrific player who need praise not some 2 bob journalist having a pop.
