the gunslinger 3,366
Police scotland where they got rid of experienced call handlers and now have cops answering phones purely so the snp can say there are more cops now than before.
StuGers 477
Unfortunately the police force has been covertly politicised, leaving it vulnerable to obviously political influence but in Scotland this also leaves it open to sectarian influence and individuals taking personal advantage.

Bill 13,687
Police Scotland is a classic example of operational delivery being sacrificed purely for the sake of political expediency. The amalgamation of the various police forces was unnecessary, unhelpful to policing and the public in general, and disrupted an established organisation and its chain of command for all. All so the SNP could impose Brand Scotland on another aspect of Scottish life. The SNP is going to sink into obscurity but the damage they've wrought on Scottish life will take decades to repair. They are the worst disaster to happen to Scotland in my lifetime.
Gazza_8 233
The amount of cops in offices drinking tea and answering phones is huge. Meanwhile, frontline police officers, the most important police officers, are the ones being shafted. The amount of cops on operational front line duties is bordering is a joke and the senior management wonder why morale is so low. An email or 2 off the divisional commander won't change that and it's cringeworthy to think that they think it will. Cops are shat upon and the hierarchy don't really care. My sub division is huge. It goes from Law, Carluke all the way down to Elavnfoot which borders the Scottish borders and there are 6 cops (3 double crewed cars) answering the calls.
compo 5,952
In my day most police were six feet plus teucters now some of them are almost small ,there used to be two on permanent duty in the high Bluetooth six feet six red faced teucters who could handle the roughest of prisoners ..
Gonzo79 13,345
Can't have height restrictions or restrict it to tough men. That would be heightist, wimpist and sexist.
Popular Post Gazza_8 233
Can't have height restrictions or restrict it to tough men. That would be heightist, wimpist and sexist. I remember seeing an article in a newspaper about a male cop who was a baw hair over 5ft. His shift named him Laptop because he was a small PC.

I best not comment on the scot squad GS. I will end up at the wrong end of one of their “welcome parties”.
