South Africa is a mess but surely everyone supports a country's right to a democratically elected government.

It's a lot more complex than black and white over there.  There's 9 official languages, the blacks and coloureds (an acceptable term there) don't get on, the Zulus and Xhosa have differences and there's a big Indian population and that's before you get to the various religions.

It won't end well.

BTW when I told my wife someone on a football forum told me De Clerk was responsible for the end of Apartheid, she laughed and mumbled a swear word.

The recent adoption of an ANC policy to "expropriate" the assets of white farmers without compensation shows just how hypocritical and corrupt black politics can get in Africa. No surprise this was championed by communist extremists like Julius Malema. Whites will have to fight or flee while they still can but the future for South Africa looks increasingly bleak. In time, is it such a leap to see white culture and rights similarly threatened in Europe if we don't start defending it?

Further feedback opines that the final sentence isn't strictly Daily Mail like,... but moreso akin to somewhere between the Daily Mail and EDL bumf.

Meanwhile in South Africa last night the black peoples leader Julius Malema - “go after the white man. If you touch a white man they feel terrible pain”.

The mainstream media is silent.

Malema is a firebrand.  Totally OTT but sadly, his opinion is becoming more mainstream across there.

Ask yourself, why assorted demi-gods, populists, racists, etc. are gaining traction in many parts of the world.

Malema is a communist of the worst kind. They've been at the core of the ANC since before Mandela came to power and have many times tried to assert themselves. It's a moot point why Malema has suddenly risen to such prominence but one thing is for sure, he wouldn't be tolerated unlesss the party leadership wanted it. For the first time, the ANC finds itself in some difficulty with the electorate following the Zuma scandals. I think Malema and his black racism is a useful tool for re-engaging with the huge poor black constituency. The irony is beyond measure but what is truly disturbing is that whites will likely be driven out of South Africa entirely before the feeding frenzy is satiated.

Divide and conquer.  Meanwhile the well-off will be raking it in, whilst laughing away in their ivory towers.

Don't you mean ebony towers?

  • 2 weeks later...

how wonderful it must have been in S Africa when 80% of the population couldn't vote because they weren't white. When political protest was met with guns and murder.....and who spoke against this in Britain....was it all those right wing nut jobs who care so much about whites in S. Africa today ?...I even remember a tory councillor (yes Glasgow had one in those days) complaining about Nelson Mandela Place.....he was a brutish thug and terrorist !....and a load of right wing pricks like those arseholes in Britain First actually voted for this guy.
