A worrying thought is why are the board backing a manager over the club captain and the most senior player when the manager only has 5 games left?

Unless he doesn’t actually have 5 games left...

Kenny Miller is a serial troublemaker. He was also cast aside by Pedro for the same thing. Miller is also known for leaking information. The fact the Rangers team was known 2 days before the game is not acceptable whoever did it.

Immediate thoughts have to be with ST sales and that on the face of this story, Murty looks like being in the dug-out for the Hearts match.

The later has the potential to get ugly and further slow down renewals.

The one plus is that Hearts have nothing to play for in terms of league position.

I wonder if Keith Jackson will get less 'exclusives' from Ibrox now.

Like it or not, Murty is the full time manager at this moment time. He has to play the game as if he is the long term manager. That means sanctions on his players when required. It seems that this has been coming, and he is probably right to do this, assuming the paper has got it right.

It doesn't mean that he has got the job long term though.

Which do you prefer?  Players going mental after that totally unacceptable performance or a manager saying he won't be saying anything to the players because there will be conflict?

Preferably players going mental, manager channeling/managing it properly and the offending players taking it on the chin like men.

Shit like this happen all the time. Manage it properly.

You'd have to know exactly how the 'going mental' manifested itself but the crux is that Murty had no real authority (even less now).

Nor now does he have credibility left in his current role and if manager on Sunday will have to depend on the players motivating themselves.

The longer Murty remains manager, the bigger a laughing stock we'll become.

Get rid now.

Much of the focus is presently on Murty but if he remains and Sunday goes badly, then it will move to the boardroom.
