The club obviously has to speak to it's lawyers, JD and Hummel first. The club is doing everything it can. They take the advice of lawyers on every step. Quite few "what ifs" remain open, at the end of the day - and Ashley sure won't care as he's about as susceptable to criticism as Trump - it paints SD in an even worse light. Wonder who would want to deal with them ... though that's not our concern. Right now, it is again the normal supporter which suffers, as he is denied access to the new shirts et al. The club is indrectly looking to apply lipstick to a pig,.... but the pig is still Mike Ashely, he's better advised than we are and like the Pedro Caixinha fall-out, we'll be affected by it for the forseeable. You have to wonder about our executive management, our finances and the ongoing sustainabilty. All that has happened is that SD have to match the conditions of that more favourable deal. The legal fees are very significant. Sales will be lost as many fans will still not buy from SD, not to mention the fans losing the feel-good factor. A football fan may understand football but it's more difficult to get a hold on this business and it would seem as even our lawyers struggle. I think the more salient question is why did our board / lawyers think they could sever ties in the way intended, given the detail of the agreement that had been signed.
