Pol Pot, Mao, Stalin and co might suggest otherwise.

I hope you have a lot of fingers and toes for the count on both sides.

Pretty one-sided if we take the last 25 years or even 4 decades.

Absolutely nothing wrong in being a supporter of communism.

Agreed, but many on here are incapable of recognising that the 1917 Bolsheviks form of communism was nothing like the form stolen by Stalin. We are all tarred by that brush. I am as opposed to what Stalin did as any capitalist.

Capitalism has caused more deaths and misery than any other system.

There it is, the whataboutery we all know and love. Order of Lenin to that man.

Capitalism indirectly causes deaths.  Communism directly caused millions of deaths during its relatively short duration.

Everything causes death, especially time. But in the human social context, the only thing that has killed more people than communism is Islam. Defending and excusing communism by claiming something else is even worse is fatuous but ignoring its greatest competitor is extremely careless.

It's not 'whataboutery'. The Stalinist purges are sod all to do with communism. Capitalism has factually been responsible for more deaths than other systems through its sister doctrine, imperialism. No system is set in stone - before capitalism it was feudalism - that ran its course. We are entering an era when capitalism as we know it is in its death throes.

Not one of those names you mention can be considered Marxist or communist; the word 'communist' is a convenient label for apologists of capital to use simply to discredit what they fear.

"The Stalinist purges are sod all to do with communism." ? It's the way you tell 'em so it is.

Nice try, no cigar. Communism is widely regarded as the greatest criminal system outside Islam and the numbers are inescapable.
