What's this about?

Some daftie in Skojpe made some nasty remarks at children (including saying "white power"), filmed it and sent it on a messaging service and it has now been picked up by the MSM.

Rangers fan filmed himself racially abusing child immigrants in Skopje (called them "mistakes" and used a horrible 4 letter word) before saying "white power" and put it on his social media, someone took it from there and it's all over the internet, another stick to beat us with because of the actions of one disgusting piece of filth. Deserves everything he has coming to him, and I'm glad it appears rangers are being proactive, folk have identified the guy so rangers should inform the cops and ensure he can never get to another game

Acting like this defies belief, and this idiot deserves all he gets.

No wonder Scrote is on it like a flash though ...

Rangers: Ibrox club contact Police Scotland over racist abuse footage

By Chris McLaughlin

BBC Scotland

Rangers have contacted Police Scotland after footage emerged of a fan seeming to racially abuse a child before the club's Europa League tie in Macedonia.

The footage, which has been condemned by the club's fans on social media, ends with the man saying "white power" to a group of Macedonian children.

It was apparently filmed before the goalless first qualifying round second leg against Shkupi on Tuesday.

A statement said that Rangers "will take the appropriate steps".

It added: "This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and Rangers have been in touch with Police Scotland."

Police Scotland confirmed that they have brought the footage to the attention of their Macedonian counterparts and are "providing them assistance in their investigation".

Charity Show Racism the Red Card said they "are disgusted by the racism and dehumanisation" in the footage and asked anyone with information to get in touch.

Every chance to throw dirt after Rangers is used ... gleefully. Elsewhere though, silence.

Unlike our "brethren" across the city, Rangers actually take these matters seriously and try to weed them out from the fanbase.

pete, the guy called the kid a "paki" and said "white power" to him.  I haven't seen the video and have no desire to - a grown man acting that way to a child needs sectioned.  It is disgusting behavior.

The vast, vast majority of Bears were abhorred by what he did - but, strangely, I did see one or two saying "No-one likes us, we don't care - he is a Bear so leave him alone" type thing.  Some people have no idea of conscience these days.

To be fair - I think, for once, that BBC report is actually balanced and fair.  Scrote points out that the guy was largely condemned by fellow fans.  He also points out it was just one fan (unlike the Record that used fans plural....)

There is a spectrum of stupidity.

This clown racially abuses a number of children,. films it, then uploads said film onto You tube. It's the equivalent of shooting yourself in each foot, then in the head.

Well done the club, hopefully another Bear will recognise the voice/remember the incident and daub him into the police.

To be fair, the BBC Scotland bunch carefully chose what they actually report about and what they leave unremarked. Doing "their job" as it should be done every now and then does not change this.
