"Hearts are a model club"

Recommended Posts

Amid Rangers ongoing woes, a number of mantras were taken up by the mainstream media, including, Hearts are a model club". Despite £26 million of unpaid debt, Anne Budge had rescued the Jambos and the amplification on unpaid newsagents, florists, face painters, ................. etc was turned so low, only a hunting hound could hear the forlorn whistle. In reality, 'Hearts are a model club' was a taunt fashioned by Biscuits Preston, Jum Spence, Tom English, ........ etc to tease and bait disgruntled Bears. The depths plundered by Auntie Beeb in particular would challenge submariner, Vladimir Romanov.

Anyways, Hearts(the model club) have issued a statement this evening, admitting in the 65th minute of last night's League Cup tie against Cove Rangers, they fielded an ineligible player, Andrew Irving. The statement includes all the important phraseology; internal procedures, mistakes happen, and my favourite, 'inadvertent breach of rules'. Apologies to both Cove Rangers and the relevant authority will help, but on the 23rd of July, Hearts go before the beaks. What should the punishment be?

Hearts have couriered in thirteen players this close season, whilst driving out a dozen; perhaps they have morphed into, 'a Yodel club'?

Spartans were thrown out of the SFA Cup in the past ... the Yahoos were awarded a tie with a 3-0 win in which the opposition fielded a chap for 2 minutes at the end, a tie they were losing 6-1 on aggergate at the time. Thus, they sneaked through on away goals pointing at sporting integrity and staying silent upon the anything else.

They no doubt but will have to withdraw (or be withdrawn) unless Cove Rangers feel it's in their best interest to have a replay.  However, administrative errors happen all the time and I'd never be so confident to think that it couldn't happen to us.

Here's an idea.

Remember our first season in the Championship, it was all over by late November? We visited Tynecastle and were deservedly defeated 2-zip by the model club. BBC Radio Scotland were in raptures, their collective joy runneth over. At the end of Cosgrove's show, a call from, 'Gordon the Jambo from Glasgow' was patched through. He told of the songs sung from the boys in maroon, 'you let your club die' and, 'your not Rangers anymore'. DrStu' was in raptures, repeating every line uttered by ................... his show's Producer.

I suggest Gordon the Jambo from Glasgow gets to decide Hearts punishment/

Seriously, why was McLean allowed to play on Cove's artificial surface? Previous clubs have protected the player from the constant impact of artificial surfaces.

They surely have to be thrown out - sporting integrity and all that.... oh wait that only works against one club!

it's not the SFA. it's the league cup. Previous punishments for fielding ineligible players have been fines

granted in the Scottish Cup it would mean disqualification

Sporting Integrity will be tied up, gagged and locked in the cupboard until Hearts have been leniently  dealt with.  Then it will be allowed out to roam the corridors of the SFA and SPFL, waiting on any chance to loudly interject at any disciplinary, tribunal or Panel decision involving Rangers.
