Defence looks more nervous than they should. We're a bit slack in possession at times and we need to cut out the supply to their left winger. All in all we look like a team thats in the process of being built.

away matches in europe are hard so it is going well.  I know we haven't played in europe much of late but the last time we won an away match was sporting lisbon in 2008.  will take any progress and this has been a job well done so far

Goldson is class it is Flanagan and Tav that are struggling with the 2 wide players. Ejari looks good but almost cost us at the end. As has been said kent has so often acres of room but we are turning to the right again and again.

We're winning away from home in Europe with a new team containing some making their first appearance and others still waiting for a first appearance. Can't come complain about that and you would expect them to get better with familiarity.

 

Another goal with no reply would leave us sitting comfortably for the home tie.

Maybe I am easily pleased but I am happy with how we are doing.

 

Their chances have been half chances, nothing more - and stuff you would expect McGregor to deal with. 

 

I also think we have looked OK going forward.  Ryan Kent looks very tidy for his debut.  Oozing confidence, pacy, very direct.  Defenders this season will absolutely HATE playing against him.  Coulibaly and Ryan Jack have the makings of a very, very positive partnership as the dual pivots - Ryan Jack has been a stick out thus far this season, he is dictating play for us.

 

We may not have created a huge amount - but our chances have been as good, if not better, than all of theirs.  We had a 3 v 2 where Murphy could have slid it to his left for a 1-on-1.

 

We also need to realise that a) we are a work in progress b) 3 of these players are making their debuts in terms of starts and c) we have a lot of new players.

 

We are up 1-0 away from home in Europe in a tie which very few of us, I would contend, would have expected us to go through.  Us going through was probably more hope than expectation from my perspective.

 

The signs are good IMO.  Much better organized, better both in and out of possession, than anything Pedro would have dreamed up
