If Liverpool beat Leicester they will establish a 7 point cushion with 14 games remaining. It has to make them favourites but it's far from a certainty with a lot of tough games still to come.

City had not lost to Newcastle in 22 league games, with the North East club having collected only three points from a possible 66 against their opponents.

Liverpool also have the easier run in between them and City

Praying for Leicester tonight. They beat City and Chelsea but I think this is a match too much for them.

Poor from City. Yes they can lose a game but to be 1-0 at half time they should have had enough to see that off.

They scored after 25 seconds I wonder what the in play odds were then for a Newcastle win

Good job from Leicester, that will do. Keeps it open. Had Liverpool moved 7 pts ahead then its a 3 game swing City would have needed. But 2 is certainly doable. Liverpool away to West Ham on Monday night under the lights isnt a gimmie. WHU are doing their usual good spell / bad spell but after a thumping from Wimbledon and Wolves they should be up for this one. City need to take care of Arsenal on Sunday though.

Crazy set of results given the consistency the top sides have shown this season.

Bookies will be happy.

Spurs who are now only two points behind Man City, are the only senior side in England or Scotland not to have drawn a league game and it's the end of January :eek2:

It's also strange to think that if they only took account of away performances then Spurs would be top of the league by 4 points.
