Is it not more the way they left though? .., it wasnt a natural "its time to move on and seek a new challenge"  it was either, we need the money go (fire sale) or come start life in div 3.

I don’t really care whether a player played for us previously or not. It’s whether they are good enough and can take us forward. I don’t think Lafferty is anywhere near good enough, but Naismith is.

Naismith clearly isn’t the player he was 4 or 5 years ago with us or at Everton. Lafferty is just as good as he was in 2011. That’s the difference, although I may revise my opinion at the end of the season..
