I agree the SNP will never allow a full and proper investigation and will protect Celtic at all costs. However, if it's not the SNP selling their souls for the Irish/catholic vote, it will be Labour doing the same thing. Scotland is basically run by and for a noxious minority

Children's charity leader to chair Independent Wellbeing and Protection Advisory Board

 

The Scottish FA can confirm the appointment of Jackie Brock as Chair of the Independent Wellbeing and Protection Advisory Board (IWPAB), a key recommendation of the Interim Report from the Review of Sexual Abuse in Scottish Football.

As Chief Executive of Children in Scotland, the national charity working to improve children’s lives, Jackie has experience in providing trusted and independent support on diverse and varied issues affecting children, families and those who support them. In 2015, she was commissioned by the Scottish Government to write The Brock Report, an independent review of Scotland’s system for safeguarding Scotland’s vulnerable children.

Prior to Children in Scotland, Jackie was the Depute Director of Learning and Support at the Scottish Government. She is also a non-executive director of Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

The board also includes: Lyall Cameron, Youth Ambassador of Change and Co-Chair of the Scottish FA Youth Congress, as Deputy Chair, Karyn McLuskey, Chief Executive of Community Justice Scotland and SPFL board director, Anna Fowlie, Chief Executive of Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, Jim McBride, Head of Adult Services at Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership, Larry Flanagan, General Secretary of EIS, Molly Hyde, Youth Ambassador of Change at Scottish FA, Phil Eaglesham, Organisational Lead (Rights and Inclusion), NHS Health Scotland, and Ian Maxwell, the Chief Executive of the Scottish FA.

The appointment of the IWPAB is a commitment to the implementation of the recommendations of the Independent Review published by Martin Henry, the independent chair, and the broad skillset and experience of the board will ensure a widespread approach to reinforcing child wellbeing and protection across the national game.

Jackie Brock said: “I am proud to have been asked to chair such a high-calibre independent board to ensure a robust and diligent approach to wellbeing and protection matters across Scottish football.

“The board is committed to ensuring the highest standards of protection and wellbeing through working collectively across the game and with external stakeholders as well as monitoring continuous improvement.

Ian Maxwell, Scottish FA Chief Executive, said: “The calibre, experience and knowledge of the individuals within the Independent Wellbeing and Protection Advisory Board is commensurate with the importance of the group to advising and guiding Scottish football in our work.

“Individually, each member provides valuable experience and insight that will help Scottish football safeguard the wellbeing of all children and young people involved in the game to the highest standard.”

The SFA have published a dossier rating each Scottish Premiership club's stadium, first team, youth team and legal and adminstrative operations and granted licenses accordingly, report the Scottish Sun. Celtic are the only club to have recieved a platinum award, with Rangers being granted a silver. Hibernian, St Johnstone and St Mirren were awarded gold, Dundeeand Livingston were granted bronze, and the remaining five clubs were given silver.
